Special edition of "Sustainability"

A special edition of the journal 'Sustainability' has been secured entitled 'Smart Energy Regions - Drivers and Barriers to the Implementation of Low Carbon Technologies at a Regional Scale'.

The deadline for manuscripts is 31st July 2016.

SBE 16 Malta (Valletta MALTA, 16th – 18th March 2015)

The International event forms part of the 2016 International Sustainable Built Environment Conference Series convened under the auspices of the four international organizations:
iiSBE, CIB, UNEP-SBCI and FIDIC.  

SBE16_Malta will be the first international conference addressing a Sustainable Built Environment in Europe and the Mediterranean Region.
SBE16 Malta will be an International, full-paper peer-reviewed conference with a focus on different aspects of Sustainability in the Built Environment.

Opportunities for Short Term Scientific Missions

Short Term Scientific Missions (STSMs) are funding opportunities awarded by COST Actions allowing researchers to conduct a limited study period in a research institution abroad. A series of limitations apply to eligibility. There is still funding available for Short Term Scientific Missions (STSMs) for the year 2014/2015 with the COST Action Smart Energy Regions. Since a STSM cannot take place “across” two financial years, it is necessary to allocate the remaining STSMs for this year before the end of March 2015.

New COST regulation

New COST Implementation Rules were approved in December 2014 and have entered into force since the 1st of January 2015.

A new Vademecum has been released by COST to assist with the new regulation, and can be downloaded at www.cost.eu/download/COST_H2020_Vademecum

Training School “Integrated approach to retrofitting existing dwellings”

The COST Action TU1104 “Smart Energy Regions” will run a training school for Early Stage Researchers looking at “Integrated approach to retrofitting existing dwellings”. The scientific focus of the Training School is the improvement of the environmental and energy performance of existing neighborhoods at a regional scale.
